A Victorian chromolithograph after Sir George Hayter's 1838 official coronation portrait of Queen Victoria, published for the British market and framed at some point in the late 20th century by Boots Picture Framing Department, whose label remains on the verso. The image is one of the most historically significant royal portraits in the British tradition: the nineteen-year-old queen in full coronation regalia, Imperial State Crown, cloth-of-gold Supertunica, crimson ermine-trimmed robes, and the Sovereign's Sceptre raised aloft. Color is strong, with no visible fading, foxing, or surface damage.
