Vintage faux burlwood pedestal from the 1980s, wrapped in a richly figured laminate that captures the depth and movement of natural burl. The tall monolithic form has real presence, and the warm organic finish gives it the look of high-end Postmodern design without the price that usually comes with it. It calls to mind the work of Milo Baughman and Karl Springer, and it does its best work holding a sculpture, a floral arrangement, or a single statement object. Clean lines, quiet confidence, and enough height to anchor a corner or a gallery wall setting.
Very good vintage condition. Minor surface wear throughout and a small chip to one back corner, not visible from the front, consistent with age and material. The laminate is clean and vibrant with no lifting or major scratches. The underside is unfinished and not intended to be seen in use.

All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.
All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
