Compact American industrial task lamp with clamp-mounted base, designed to grip the edge of a desk, shelf, or drafting table for directional light. The deep metal dome shade and pull-chain switch are classic early utility hardware, and the aged brass-toned finish carries genuine workshop wear. The underside is stamped TRU-LITE, Brooklyn, U.S.A., a hardware-store trade name. The base also features a keyhole slot, an original practical detail that lets it hang on a screw or nail when not in use. Small enough for a bedside shelf or studio corner, substantial in feel.
Good vintage condition with heavy and attractive patina throughout, including surface wear, oxidation, spotting, and finish variation consistent with age and use. Expect minor scuffs and small marks to the metal surfaces. The clamp mechanism and springs show age and wear but present well and retain strong tension. The cord and plug appear to be later replacements. Please review photos closely as they are part of the condition description.

All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.
All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
