A charming piece of French table history, these antique sugar tongs bring that old-world tea service elegance to modern styling. Made in silver plate and stamped FRANCE, the design is elevated by crisp guilloché-style grip panels and sculptural paw feet terminals, a detail that nods to the Neoclassical and Louis XVI Revival taste that dominated well-appointed European tables.
Traditionally used for lifting sugar cubes from a bowl during tea and coffee service, they’re also perfect today for serving lemon slices, petits fours, cocktail garnishes, or simply styled on a tray as a finishing touch in a bar cart or coffee station vignette.
Condition:
Silver plate with age-appropriate patina, spotting, and surface scratches throughout. Areas of darker tarnish and tonal variation consistent with age and use.
