Thomas Moore's Nature-Printed British Ferns, the octavo edition published by Bradbury & Evans in London, 1859 to 1860. Two volumes in full blue calf with gilt tooled spines, gilt edges, and marbled endpapers in russet, blue, and green. The plates are the reason these sets exist. Henry Bradbury's process took its impression from the fern itself, then printed it in color, and the veining shows it. This set carries 122 plates and the greens have stayed clear. A good pair for a library shelf or a reading table.
Full blue calf with gilt edges. The spines are darkened and faded with rubbing to the gilt tooling, and the joints and extremities show light wear. The boards have light surface rubbing and scuffing, a little heavier on volume two. The marbled endpapers are bright and clean. The flyleaves and blanks show scattered foxing and toning, and the page edges are toned. The plates are clean with fresh color. Both volumes open well. Overall a good, honest set with wear consistent with age.
Shipping & Returns
All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.

All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
