This 1882 sixth edition of John Henry Parker’s architectural glossary is a handsome Victorian reference in an eye-catching gilt cloth binding. Created for architects, students, and antiquarians, it explains the terminology of Grecian, Roman, Italian, and Gothic architecture at a time when interest in historic design and restoration was especially strong.

This copy stands out for its rich burgundy cloth, bright gilt decoration, red-and-black title page, and fold-out plan of Wells Cathedral. A strong choice for collectors of architectural history, Gothic Revival material, and decorative antique books.
