Two brass candle arms curve out from a central column here, each capped with a faux candle and rising toward the shade, in the manner of the old French bouillotte lamps once set on card tables. The column wears a cast neoclassical swag, an urn hung with floral garlands and drapery, which is the detail that lifts it above the plainer versions of this form. It reads as a reading or side-table light for a traditional or French-country room, and it has been rewired for safe modern use.

The lamp is in good vintage condition and has been rewired, with a new cord and an inline switch shown in the photographs. The brass has been polished and shows light handling wear consistent with age, with no dents or splits noted. The two faux candle sleeves over the sockets are cracked. They are a decorative cover only and are inexpensive to replace if you prefer a fresh look. The oval shade is included and is in good condition, with light wear consistent with age. The base interior shows the expected oxidation and the mounting hardware for the socket cluster. As with any vintage lighting, AMD strongly recommends having the piece inspected and, if needed, rewired by a licensed electrician before use; it is sold as a decorative item and Austyn Marie Design is not responsible or liable for any malfunction, damage, or injury resulting from its use or electrical operation. Please review all photographs closely, as they form part of this description.
