Signed Floral Still Life in the Dutch Manner, oil on canvas, signed lower left "Slane," artist unidentified. The composition follows the pronkstilleven tradition closely: roses, parrot tulips, coneflowers, and smaller blossoms arranged in a green glass vase against a near-black ground, with fallen petals and blooms on the ledge below and a small butterfly tucked into the mid-right of the arrangement. The painting is hand-executed with confident, varied brushwork and sits in a warm gilt composition frame with Rococo Revival ornament. A partial Spanish-language canvas manufacturer's label on the verso dates the support to the mid-20th century.

The paint surface is in good condition overall. Fine surface scratching is visible across the dark background, consistent with age and handling, most apparent in raking light. There are no visible paint losses, flaking, or active craquelure. The canvas is stable with no visible deformation. The backing paper is intact with some edge tears where it meets the frame rebate. The frame is in good condition with one area of damage at the top center of the inner rail where a section of the composition ornament has broken away, exposing white gesso beneath. The gilding is otherwise warm and intact across the frame.
