About This Piece

This large-scale equestrian wall tapestry is a jacquard woven decorative textile produced in Flanders by Metrax-Craye, a European maker known for heritage-inspired interior weaves. Woven in 100 percent cotton, the design reads like an illustrated reference chart of classic riding gear, including boots, helmets, gloves, a saddle, bits, stirrup, trophies, and horseshoes, anchored by a bold horse head portrait.

Designed to hang as a finished wall textile rather than fabric yardage, it features an integrated border and a balanced, graphic layout that gives real architectural presence on the wall. It brings the atmosphere of traditional sporting imagery without the fragility and conservation concerns that can come with antique tapestries.

The flax-toned ground and warm saddle-leather palette layer beautifully with antiques, dark woods, brass, and equestrian art.

Condition: Very good condition. Clean woven surface with no holes or tears noted. Light creasing and folds from storage are present and should relax with time once hung. Finished edges and hanging sleeve present as shown.

Shipping & Returns

All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.

All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
