Vintage English Chrome Trivet, Pierced Pinwheel Pattern, Mid-20th Century
Couldn't load pickup availability
A chrome plated steel trivet with a pierced pinwheel pattern and four short tapered legs, sourced in England. Made to sit under hot dishes, teapots, and serving pieces at the table, protecting the surface beneath while allowing heat to dissipate through the open cutwork. A stamped mark is present on the underside but is not fully legible. Consistent with English mid-20th century production.
The trivet is in good used vintage condition. The chrome plating is intact on the legs and rim with good reflectivity. The top surface shows wear and oxidation to the steel beneath in areas, consistent with age and use. The underside shows the steel base with a dark aged patina where the plating has worn. No bends, cracks, or structural damage. Four legs stable and solid. A stamped mark is present on the underside but not legible enough to attribute to a maker.
