This antique silver plated samovar is a striking example of late Victorian tea culture, blending neoclassical elegance with exotic revival style. Dating to circa 1880–1910, the urn features a finely cast sphinx finial on the lid, a nod to the 19th-century Egyptian Revival. The body is decorated with a Greek key border and mounted with bold lion mask handles, while the spout is finished with a turned bone or ivory handle for graceful serving. Resting on four ball feet, the samovar balances refinement with presence, making it a dramatic table centerpiece. Originally used to hold hot water for tea service, today it serves as both a collectible and a decorative object of timeless appeal.

Condition:  The samovar remains in good antique condition with age-appropriate wear to the silver plating, particularly on the interior and underside. The surface shows light scratches and signs of use consistent with its history. The spout and handles are sturdy and functional, with the ivory/bone tap handle intact. Some tarnish and patina add to its authentic antique character. Overall, this is a well-preserved example ready to be displayed or used as a statement piece.

All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.

All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
