3" H x 12" W x 2" D
A classic long-handled candle snuffer with a clean conical form and a satisfying weight in hand. These were a practical tabletop tool for extinguishing candles without blowing hot wax, a small detail that mattered in dining rooms and libraries when candles were used daily.
This example is silver plated with a simple stepped base and looped handle end. It is an easy piece to keep out on a bar cart, beside taper holders, or styled with matches and a wick trimmer for a finished candle moment. Sourced in England.
Measures approximately 3” H x 12” W x 2” D.
Condition: Antique condition consistent with age and use. Heavy silver plate wear and loss throughout with visible base metal in areas, along with surface oxidation and spotting. Interior shows soot and darkening from use. No maker’s marks found.
