3” H x 4.5” W x 2” D

A petite antique rocking desk blotter from the fountain-pen era, made with a warm translucent horn top set into a dark blued-metal frame and finished with a hallmarked silver knop. Designed to roll gently across freshly-written pages to lift excess ink and prevent smudging, this is a classic desk accessory once found in well-appointed offices and writing rooms. Today it adds instant library charm and looks incredible styled on a desk, stack of books, or writing slope.

Condition:  Wear consistent with age and use, including surface patina and handling marks to the dark metal frame, and natural tonal variation with light surface wear to the horn. The blotting surface shows ink mottling and age-related wear from use. The silver knop is stamped with hallmarks as shown. Overall a strong, display-ready antique desk accessory with great character.
