This antique brass urn captures the elegance of Neoclassical design, dating from the late 19th century. The urn is richly detailed with a tall, lidded body rising from a square plinth base supported by paw feet. Applied laurel and floral garlands adorn the sides, while ring handles with foliate mounts recall classical Greco-Roman ceremonial vessels. The lid is finished with a ribbed knop finial, giving the piece a sense of symmetry and grandeur.

Originally created as a decorative mantel urn, this piece was designed to echo the refined tastes of the Neoclassical and Empire revival periods, when wealthy households styled interiors with symbolic forms of antiquity. The urn represents timeless motifs of eternity, learning, and classical beauty, making it a striking accent for display on a mantel, console, or bookshelf. Condition:  This urn is in good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. The brass has developed a natural patina, showing light surface marks consistent with age and use. The piece is structurally sound and displays beautifully. The base shows expected wear, and felt pads have been added under the feet to protect surfaces.

Shipping & Returns

All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.

All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.

If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
