Antique French Oil Painting Still Life, Signed

A signed academic still life on a purpose-made mahogany artist's panel, showing a gilt ewer, a hand-painted faience vase with birds and insects, an Imari bowl of oranges, and a spray of violets and mimosa against a crimson drape. The signature lower right appears to read F. Laloge, though I could not confirm the name in artist records, so the work is offered as an unidentified hand in the French academic tradition. The reverse carries the printed device of an artists'-board maker, an anchor within a shield flanked by the initials L and F, evidence the panel was a commercially prepared fine-art support of the late nineteenth or early twentieth century.
The frame carries the most significant condition issues and should be considered first. It is a period gilt gesso composition frame with substantial losses to the ornament, including exposed raw and white areas along the lower and side rails, chips at the corners, and open corner joints. It presents as an old frame in rough, distressed condition rather than a restored one.
The painting itself is in sound condition for its age. The panel is stable. The surface shows scattered grime and a fine craquelure across the darker upper left area, along with light surface scratches and minor scuffing at the extreme top edge. No significant paint losses to the image are visible. The work has not been examined under UV light, so the presence or absence of earlier retouching cannot be stated. The signature lower right is legible but has not been matched to a documented artist.
