Antique English Oval Gilded Wood Frame Ribbon Bow Crest

Gilded oval frame with a ribbon bow crest, English, circa 1890 to 1915, in the Louis XVI Revival taste favored in late Victorian and Edwardian interiors for portraits, prints, and silhouettes. Beaded ornament runs around the oval and the frame retains its glass and a gold mat beneath. The reverse carries a Grindley & Palmer, Liverpool trade label. Ready to use with a work of your own, or hung empty as a decorative object.
Good decorative condition with light age-appropriate surface wear, minor rubbing to the gilded finish, and expected wear to the reverse. Glass and gold mat retained. The ribbon bow crest at the top has a crack that has been glued and is stable, with no other losses to the bow. The reverse shows age wear to the backing and old framing elements consistent with use.
Shipping & Returns
All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.

All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
