This is a British leather cordite carrier, the padded case used to move a propellant charge from magazine to gun on artillery pieces. Heavy bridle leather over a stitched canvas liner, brass rivets at both bands, and a single carry strap that drops over a brass stud. The transfer-printed Royal Arms on the face, with its King's crown, dates the decoration to service use before 1953.
The leather is dry and breaking with age. A split runs vertically down the body near the strap side, with surface crazing across the wall and hairline cracking around the base rim where the leather meets the stitched bottom. A second short split is visible at the top rim. Old screw and rivet holes sit open in two paired rows on the face, several of them empty. The transfer crest is worn, with losses to the gilt and flaking through the design. The canvas liner is intact but soiled and darkened at the rim. The carry strap is supple but scuffed, with a small split at the keyhole slot. Sold as-is, with photos governing.

All antique and vintage items are shipped from our warehouse in Bluffdale, Utah. Each piece is carefully packed by hand using archival materials and custom crating when necessary.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the item. Local pickup is available at the AMD Warehouse.
All sales of antique and vintage items are final due to their unique, one-of-a-kind nature. Illuminé candles and The Collector's Guide may be returned within 14 days of delivery if unopened and in original condition.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph the damage immediately (including packaging), contact us within 48 hours at austynmariedesign@gmail.com, and do not discard any packaging.
