Sold as-is, in good honest antique condition, with wear fully consistent with age and long use. The piece is structurally sound, sits square, and shows no repairs or replaced elements found on inspection — the drawer, leaf, base, and top all appear original to the piece.
The oak carries a genuine aged surface throughout, cleaned and waxed rather than stripped or refinished. The top shows scattered dark stains, old marks, ring wear, and a lifetime of small nicks and scratches. There is a shrinkage gap across the top boards where the wood has moved over time, and the pull-out leaf shows a corresponding seam where it meets the fixed top; both are normal for a hand-built oak table of this age and are stated here as observed conditions, not defects.
The construction is hand joinery: the drawer is assembled with coarse, irregular hand-cut dovetails with deep oxidation into the cuts, and the drawer bottom is hand-planed with an age split running its length. The base is draw-bored and pegged, the pegs standing slightly proud with genuine wear into the turned recesses. The feet show abrasion and minor loss at the toes from use. The drawer runs but shows runner wear and moves with the looseness expected of a period drawer.
No drawer pull is present. No maker's mark, stamp, or inscription was found, so the date is offered as a construction-based estimate rather than a documented one; the hand-cut dovetails, draw-bored joinery, and depth of oxidation support an 18th or early 19th century date. Species is assessed as oak from the grain and ray fleck. Dimensions are as measured. The piece is sold as shown, with photographs governing condition.
