A charming piece of American table history, this antique silverplate bowl is marked Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co., Hartford, Conn. and stamped “Quadruple,” a period designation used for heavier quality plating. The rounded body and flared rim feel distinctly late Victorian, while the bright engraved floral design adds the kind of sparkle these pieces were made for, catching candlelight and lamplight on a tea tray or dining table.

Sized perfectly for a classic sugar service, it also works beautifully today as a bonbon bowl, nut dish, or an elegant catchall on a vanity or bar cart. A collectible, display-worthy example of Gilded Age American silverplate from one of the most recognized Rogers names.
