11” H x 2.75” d

This antique 19th century salt-glazed stoneware bottle stands 11” high and 2.75” in diameter, showcasing a beautiful rich iron-brown glaze created through the traditional salt-firing process. These bottles were originally crafted for storing beer, mineral water, or spirits and are marked at the base with impressed initials, a feature often used by European potteries to identify kiln or maker. Their tall, cylindrical form and understated finish make them versatile as decorative accents, bud vases, or sculptural objects that bridge rustic tradition with modern design. A wonderful piece of utilitarian history, each bottle carries over 150 years of character.

Condition:

Both bottles are structurally sound and retain their glaze with only light surface scuffs and expected wear from age. One bottle has a few small base chips and minor damage to the bottom (see photos). These details are consistent with their history and add to their authenticity as antique utilitarian stoneware.
