Published in London in 1897 for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, The Queen’s Resolve is a commemorative look at her sixty-year reign, produced at the height of late Victorian royal fascination. It reads like a period celebration piece, with reflective text and plenty of visual interest throughout.

This copy has a pale blue decorative cloth binding with gilt lettering and printed portrait medallions of Victoria in youth and in later life, plus illustrated plates and ornamental chapter headings inside. Provenance note: Whittingehame Parish Library stamp to the front endpaper.
