There is a shrinkage crack in the walnut veneer at the upper right corner of the case, and minor veneer lifting and small losses along the columnar stile edges and top-edge banding, all consistent with age and seasonal movement. Small veneer chips are present in the parquetry banding at the sharpest point of the serpentine front.
